Learning in a hybrid environment

Within the last two years, learning has been so different. Especially during the pandemic. Teachers and learning professionals had to learn the new way of teaching as solely remote and now that the world is transitioning into the "new normal" professionals have to learn how to teach in a hybrid environment. This can be difficult but some professionals in an educational environment have shifted to game based learning and others in the corporate environment have switched to live webinars.

Given that there are some people who are in person and some who work from home, there was a very big change in how instruction would be led. From what I have seem in multiple companies, many have zoom webinars and others host in person events reviewing the same content. This avoids having both zoom and in person at the same time which becomes difficult to handle after some time. Not only that but now professionals have resorted to having one sheet materials and e-learning videos from LinkedIn or Harvard ManageMentor to support their content. It has been a change but many have come to adapt!

I wonder what the pros and cons of hybrid models have been for students and educators. I would have liked to hear more about your thoughts on how game based learning could help or hinder in the new hybrid model of teaching and learning. It would have been interesting to talk about how teachers are assessing in this way and how game based learning assessment could assist in this area.

Have you had personal experience with hybrid models? Do they work well or poorly? Are these other materials any good? How does this relate to games and/or assessment?
